Terms of Service for Digits

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Digits ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Digits is a privacy-focused expense tracking application for iOS that helps you: - Track and categorize expenses - Set and monitor budgets - Analyze spending patterns - Use voice, photo, or manual input for expense entry - Secure your data with biometric authentication

All features operate entirely on your device with no cloud synchronization.

3. License Grant

3.1 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Digits for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to: - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App - Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App - Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App - Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels - Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Accurate Information

You are responsible for: - Accurately entering your expense data - Maintaining secure access to your device - Backing up your data (via the export feature) - Ensuring your device meets iOS 26.0+ requirements

4.2 Device Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device: - You are solely responsible for device security - Enable device passcode and biometric authentication - Protect your device from unauthorized access - Understand that lost/stolen device data cannot be recovered

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 No Data Collection

As stated in our Privacy Policy: - We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data - All data remains on your device - We cannot access your financial information - We cannot recover lost data

5.2 Data Backup

You are responsible for backing up your data using the in-app CSV export feature. We cannot recover data if you delete the app or lose your device.

6. Pricing and Payments

6.1 Current Pricing

Digits is currently available free of charge with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

6.2 Future Pricing (If Applicable)

If we introduce paid features in the future: - Free features will remain free - We will notify users before implementing charges - Subscriptions will be managed through Apple App Store - Apple's Terms of Service will apply to all purchases

6.3 Refunds

Any future paid subscriptions will follow Apple's refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Ownership

Digits and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by Abir Majumder (or the app publisher) and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Trademarks

"Digits" and the Digits logo are trademarks. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 "AS IS" Provision

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: - Warranties of merchantability - Fitness for a particular purpose - Non-infringement - Accuracy or reliability of data

8.2 Financial Decisions

Digits is a tool for tracking expenses, not financial advice. We are not responsible for: - Financial decisions made using the App - Accuracy of your manually entered data - Budget planning outcomes - Currency conversion accuracy

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: - Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities - Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App - Device malfunction, data loss, or security breaches

Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (currently $0).

9. Apple-Specific Terms

9.1 App Store Terms

Your use of Digits is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

9.2 Third-Party Beneficiary

Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.

9.3 Apple Not Responsible

Apple is not responsible for: - The App or its content - Maintenance and support (contact us, not Apple) - Product warranty claims - Legal compliance or intellectual property claims

9.4 Apple Requirements

10. Updates and Modifications

10.1 App Updates

We may update the App to: - Add new features - Fix bugs and improve performance - Ensure compatibility with new iOS versions - Enhance security

Updates are provided through the Apple App Store.

10.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

11.1 Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using Digits at any time by deleting the App from your device.

11.2 Our Right to Terminate

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, though enforcement is limited since the App operates entirely offline.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination: - Your license to use the App ends - You must delete the App from your device - All locally stored data will be deleted with the App

12. Geographic Restrictions

Digits is intended for worldwide use. However: - You are responsible for compliance with local laws - Currency support may vary - Some features may not be available in all regions

13. Dispute Resolution
